You can change your primary domain name at any time for your hosting subscriptions.  This will change the domain name for your website only. Be sure to back up all information before proceeding. Changing a subscription's domain name is a two-step process. This article provides the steps for removal. Steps for adding the new domain can be found here.

This article assumes that you are already familiar with how to log in to the customer control panel. If you do not know how to log in or have forgotten your password, please refer to this article first.

To change your domain, you must first disassociate your current domain from the hosting package. Please note that removal will delete any site applications or databases associated with the domain name, whereas site content will be saved. Before completing these steps, please be sure that you have no installed applications on this domain under the Applications tab in the control panel.

  • On the control panel Home tab, click "Manage Website" under the Websites section.

  • Select the Web tab, then click "Remove Hosting". You will be prompted with a pop up box to confirm that you do wish to remove hosting. Click OK.

  • To associate a new or different domain name with this subscription, you will then utilize the steps listed in this article: Adding a New Website
