Posted by Justin Davis on July 31 2014 05:11 PM

To connect to and manage your MSSQL database, you can use Microsoft's SQL Management Studio (SSMS). This article provides steps to do so. You will need to obtain your database connection credentials from the control panel, in addition to downloading this program from Microsoft's website.

This article assumes that you are already familiar with how to log in to the customer control panel. If you do not know how to log in or have forgotten your password, please refer to this article first.

  • Select the name of the database to which you wish to connect.

  • Copy the External hostname from this page. This will be used for connecting to SSMS. Then, click on the Users tab.

  • Copy the use name for the user you want to use. If you do not have your database password, you will need to reset it by using the steps listed here.

  • Once you have your server name, user name, and password. Open SSMS. Enter the credentials as shown below. This will connect to the database server. You should scroll down to select your database. More information on using SSMS to manage your database can be found in this tutorial.
