How to Add Packages in WHM

Posted by on September 04 2015 03:09 PM

Packages are limitations on resources an account is allowed to use. For example, you may specify how much disk space an account is allotted. These limitations are bundled and saved so that they can be applied to accounts later. This streamlines setting up new accounts, since you can sell predefined packages to your cPanel account holders or resellers.

  • In your web browser, open and log in to your WHM control panel.
  • From the WHM home page, click "Add a Package" in the Packages section on the left hand navigation menu.

  • Create a name for the package you will be creating. Note: Packages created by resellers will be prefixed with the account username of the reseller account.

  • If desired, you can set specific limits on different resources for this package. By default, everything will be set to Unlimited.

  • You can also configure additional limits, such as whether the account can have a dedicated IP, shell access, Frontpage extensions, and more. Click the Add button once everything is set as desired. After this, this package can be viewed or modified in the Edit Packages section.
