How to Find Your Instant URL

All web hosting subscriptions are provisioned with an "Instant URL" which can be used to view your site before a domain is pointed to the server. You should receive an email that contains the instant URL once you order a new plan. The instant URL should always start with your subscription ID followed by "instanturl.net". However, sometimes the full URL will change if your files are in a subdirectory of the webspace's root folder.  You can also find this URL in the HostMySite customer control panel, if needed. The location of the instant URL in the control panel will change, depending on your plan type.

• On the control panel Home tab, click "Manage Website" under the Websites section.

• On the Web tab, you will see your "Webspace" which is the instant URL.

• Note: If the "Location" is /, then your full instant URL will be as shown. If the "Location" is any other folder (for instance, /mysite.com, you would need to attach this to the end of the instant URL to view the site files.

VPS Plans

• On the control panel Home tab, the instant URL will be listed as the server's default Host Name.

• Note: If you wish to view sites configured in Plesk or cPanel before they are live on your VPS, the test URL will be different for each website.
  • Plesk: https://serverIPorhostname:8443/sitepreview/http/mydomain.com/ (replacing "serverIPorhostname" and "mydomain.com" with actual values)
    
  • cPanel: http://serverIPorhostname/~cpanelusername/ (replacing "serverIPorhostname" and "cpanelusername" with actual values)
