This KB article defines the MX records needed for use with the Symantec Email Security Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus service. Important Note: Do NOT update your MX records until you have ALL of your valid addresses and aliases for your domain registered within your ClientNet. Mail will not be delivered for addresses not contained within the Registration list. Configure your MX records:
Lowest MX preference (default mail route) – MX 10 cluster6.us.messagelabs.com Second MX preference (back-up mail route) – MX 20 cluster6a.us.messagelabs.com Outbound (optional):
cluster6out.us.messagelabs.com Important: Once provisioned, it is possible that some of your email will be processed by Symantec.cloud before your MX records are changed. These will be emails sent to your domain(s) by other customers provisioned on the same infrastructure as you. Your ClientNet dashboard and reports may show that email has been received before the MX change.
