How to Recover Deleted Items in Exchange

For a short period of time, Hosted Exchange will allow you to recover items that have been deleted and removed from your Deleted Items folder. To see the Deleted Items Retention period for your mailbox(es), please consult the Limits section of the Exchange control panel found at https://my.hostmysite.com

Recover Deleted Items in Outlook 2010:

  • Click the Folder tab at the top of the screen. Then, select the "Recover Deleted Items" icon found in the Clean Up section.

  • Select the items to recover. You can hold the Ctrl key to select multiple messages from the list. Once selected, click "Recover Selected Items".

 

Recover Deleted Items in Outlook Web Access:

  • Right click on the Deleted Items folder. Select "Recover Deleted Items" in the menu that appears.

  • Select the items to recover, then click the Recover button.

 

Recover Deleted Items in Outlook 2011 for Mac:

  • Mac users should follow the Outlook Web Access instructions above to recover deleted items.
