Completing Your Domain Transfer

Now that you've submitted a transfer order with us, you will be receiving an email requesting approval of the transfer request. You will be asked to click on a link within the email to select an option to transfer in your domain. You may also be asked to enter in your domain authorization code again to submit your approval. An example of this email is included below. Please note that the email address should say domains@hostmysite.com, and the approval link will be some variation on https://approve.domainadmin.com/transfer/..... 

Once you've submitted this request, you will be presented with a confirmation page. Quite often, your current registrar will send you a transfer away acknowledgement or confirmation email that requests confirmation as well. This second email is not necessary to approve the transfer, but will expedite the transfer process.

Depending on where you are transferring from, the transfer process may take up to 7 days to complete.

Once your transfer has successfully completed, a one year renewal will be added to your domain's expiration and a confirmation email will be sent to you.
