Common extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, and .us have a 40 day renewal grace period after the expiration date where you can still renew your domain without penalty. This can be done, as normal, within the customer control panel. Once the renewal grace period has lapsed, the domain will enter a 30 day long redemption period. Domains within the redemption period will incur additional fees to renew. To redeem a domain that has passed its grace period, you must submit a ticket or contact our billing department directly. The safest way to ensure your domain does not enter the redemption period is to enable automatic domain renewal. Some ccTLD's (Country Code domains) do not follow a standard renewal grace period, and some do not have a grace period at all. If your domain does not show as renewable in your account, is a country code domain, or you're simply not sure, please contact us and we can confirm whether the domain is in a renewable state. To manage your auto pay options, please see either of the following articles: How to Manage Account Auto Payments or How to Manage Subscription Auto Renewal
